SUMMARY:KAPS 2021 Spring Ethics Training
DESCRIPTION:This year KAPS 2021 Spring Conference will be a 3 hour focus on ethical dilemmas we have faced or will be facing as school psychologists this year. Ms. Teresa Combs will be our presenter for this session and will hit hot topics that YOU request. Combs is Of-Counsel for Fowler Bell PLLC in Lexington, Kentucky.   She works with the firm’s Education and Employment Law Groups. She has represented school districts, educational cooperatives and other businesses for 36 years. Teresa is an experienced litigator and legal trainer. She provides day-to-day legal guidance in education and employment law to numerous school districts and other educational entities. Teresa is best known for her skills in the areas of special education, Section 504, employment, and harassment/discrimination law.\nMs. Combs has served as the Secretary, Vice-Chair, and Chair of the Education Law Section of the Kentucky Bar Association from 1997-2000. She is a member of the Kentucky Council of School Board Attorneys; the National Council of School Attorneys; and is an Executive Board Member of the Kentucky Administrators of Special Education.
